How to Centralise Title and Description in Blogger Blog

How to center title and description on blogger: Here's a tutorial on how to centralize blogger title and description in order to give your blog a better and different look.

By default, the blogger title and description are aligned to the left-hand corner of your blog.

You may not know that this look is unappealing except you've seen websites with centralized title and description.

Some custom blogger templates in 2018 have already implemented this, hence you do not have to go through the process, but if yours is still to left or you've not added a description to your blog, here's why you should.

Why You Should Have a Blog Description

You'll agree with me that one of the first things a visitor to your site notices is the site's name and description, which is usually placed most visible position on your blog.

So here's one reason

  • A blog description does not only imprint your site's name in their minds and make it a must remember, but it tells them what your site is all about at a glance.

And another reason:

  • Search engines sometimes use the description of your blog to determine how related it is to a search string entered by a user to enable them to rank blogs on their Search Engine Results Pages (SERPs).

That being so,

If your blog is related to the keyword inputted by the user, but there is no description of your blog, it might not be displayed alongside others.

But then, since other factors aid in ranking, your site may probably be shown because of the keywords in your posts.

Nevertheless, a description, as well as a blog title, is a must have

So,

Here's how to add a description to your blogger blog if you haven't done so prior to this time.

How to Add Description to Blogger

  • From your Blogger Dashboard, Navigate to 'Settings'
  • Ensure you are in the 'Basic' section, then click on 'Edit' description field.
  • Enter your Blog's description in the space provided (Keep it short and simple not forgetting keywords you'll like to rank for in the text).
  • Finally, click on 'Save Changes'.

    1. If it didn't work on your blog, it's probably from your template. If you need help, state where you encountered problems. So far, i've applied the same code in most blogs and it gave the required result.

  2. @Opeyemi, the code is still working. Thanks for this wonderful tip.
